Obituary of Bernard M. O'Reilly

Bernard M O’Reilly passed away at home October 1, 2020 after a 3 ½ year battle with cancer. Bernie was born in Worcester, MA to Frank and Ruth O’Reilly. Bernie was a Vietnam vet having served in the Army from 1963-1967. He went on to obtain a Masters in Sociology from University of Michigan. He retired in the early 2000’s. Bernie enjoyed senior softball, riding his motorcycle, collecting Asian antiques, watching sports especially his beloved New England teams; Patriots and Red Sox, as well as many college football teams. He also enjoyed listening to Jazz. He hosted a local Jazz program in Worcester (WICN) and promoted Jazz muscians while living in MA. He was an avid collector of Asian art and Antiques and ran a business with his wife for several years in Boston and then Worcester. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Laura Einstadter. He will be interred in a private service at the Home of Peace cemetery in Colma. A celebration of life is planned for May 2021.
