Jack Lloyd of Lodi passed away in Lodi on January 10, 2004 at the age of 82 after a short illness. He was born on October 3, 1921 in Oakland, CA. He resided in Oakland from 1921-1947 and in Berkeley from 1947 - 1955. He has lived in Lodi since 1955. He was an architect with Ernst & Lloyd Architects for fifty years. Mr. Lloyd was in the U.S. Navy from 1943-1946. He was a member of the American Institute of Architects, Elks Club, Odd Fellows, Masonic Temple and former founding member of the Stockton Rotary. He enjoyed golfing, woodworking, gardening and Big Band music. He is survived by son, Kenneth Lloyd and daughter-in-law, Elonda Kay Lloyd of Berkeley; 3 grandchildren, Jeanette, John and Jessica; 2 brothers, Ralph Lloyd of Clancy, Montana, Robert Lloyd of Stockton and sister, Jeane Gilmour of Citrus Heights.He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years; Mary Lloyd in 2000. Visitation will be held on Monday from 1:00 PM -8:00 PM and Tuesday from 8:00AM until 8:00 PM at Lodi Funeral Home. There will be a private family service.Friends are invited to attend a Reception on Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. at the Lodi Elks Lodge, 19071 N. Lower Sacramento Road, Lodi. Donations in the memory of John Lloyd can be made to the UC Berkeley Foundation for the John E. Lloyd Memorial Men's Golf Scholarship.
