Obituary of Alden A. Montgomery

Mr. Alden A. Montgomery of Lodi and former resident of Montebello passed away Friday October 22, 2004 in a Stockton hospital at the age of 86. Mr. Montgomery was born January 21, 1918 in Greenfield, Missouri to Orr and Hester Montgomery. He worked as a Business Inspector and at the Tax Dept. for the County of Los Angeles for Many years before retiring in 1976. Mr. Montgomery was a United States Army and WWII veteran. He was a member of Miraculous Medal Catholic Church in Montebello. He enjoyed fishing, morning walks, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Mrs. Dorothy Montgomery of Lodi; 1 daughter, Patricia Shalhoob of Williamston, Michigan; 2 grandchildren Linda McGivern of Rollinsford, New Hampshire; Nicole Gorham of Woodbridge; and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Gladys Price, Lois Thomas and Loretta Montgomery. A chapel service will be held Friday October 29, 2004 10:00 am at the Lodi Funeral Home, Lodi, California, followed by a private interment at the Rose Hills Cemetery in Whittier, California. A rosary will be held Thursday 6:00 pm at the Lodi Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday 12:00 - 8:00 pm at Lodi Funeral Home.
