Obituary of Michael Allen Woltkamp

Mr. Michael Allen Woltkamp of Lockeford passed away unexpectedly Friday August 18, 2006 in Bear Valley, California at the age of 56. Mr. Woltkamp was born July 30, 1950 in Sacramento, California to Edwin and Nila Woltkamp. Mike Woltkamp owned and operated Drywall Construction in Lodi for the past 32 years. Mike was a past member of Mickey?s Grove Men?s Club and the Lodi Bowmen. His love of racing began at the age of 7 driving Quarter Midgets, which lead to his motorcycle racing career. He raced moto-cross, scrambles, and flat track at Lodi Cycle Bowl as well as other racing facilities throughout California. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, trips to Dillon Beach with family and friends. He also prided himself as an amateur golfer and skilled gardener. He will be best remembered as a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and an adored uncle. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Claudia Woltkamp of Lockeford; 1 son Jeffery Woltkamp of Lodi; 1 daughter, Sandi Brophy and husband Ned of Lockeford; 2 brothers, Chuck Woltkamp and wife Sydney of Lodi; Butch Woltkamp and wife Joyce of Galt; 1 sister, Pat Hickman and husband Steve of Elk Grove; 4 grandchildren, Tori and Lindi Woltkamp of Lodi; Jaycob and Erynn Brophy of Lockeford and numerous nephews and nieces. A chapel service will be held Friday August 25, 2006, 11:00am at the Lodi Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Thursday 3:00-8:00pm at the Lodi Funeral Home.
