Obituary of Frieda A. Meier

FRIEDA A. MEIER Frieda Ann Meier, 89, of Lodi, passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2003 in a local hospital. She was born on July 29, 1914 in Lehr, North Dakota. She married Peter Meier in 1936. Freida?s maiden name was Heinle. She had lived in Lodi for 60 years. Frieda was a rural mail carrier for the Postal Service until her retirement in 1978. Frieda belonge to the Bowling League Association and the Lodi Ladies of the Moose. She had been and avid golfer for many years and belonged to Elkhorn Country Club. She was loved by everyone that knew her. She enjoyed being with family, playing cards, and bingo. She also enjoyed dancing until her later years. She was a devoted wife, mother and thoroughly enjoyed her grandchildren. She leaves behind her two daughters, Patricia Watson of San Jose and Marsha Griffith of Woodbridge; sons-in-law Edward Watson and Richard Griffith; grandchildren Krista Thiel of San Jose, Kathleen Stuck of Felton, Jeffrey Bohn and his wife Tina of San Jose, and great-grandchildren, Anne Marie Leighton, Zachary Bohn, Sydney Bohn, Jennifer Stucko-Stanco, Peter Stuck-Stanco, Jonathan Stuck-Stanco; her sister Thelma Mercer of Arizona and her brother Eldo Heinle of Montana. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pete; and her grandson Peter Stuck. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, October 10, 2003 at 1:00 P.M.at Lodi Funeral Home, 725 S. Fairmont Avenue, Lodi, CA 95240. Graveside committal service and interment will follow at Cherokee Memorial Park in Lodi. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lodi Memorial Hospital Foundation. Lodi Funeral Home entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
