Dear Marsha and Dick, We are so sorry to hear of the death of your dear mother, Marsha. We had the wonderful opportunity to meet her in Woodbridge on our visit with you. She was such a cheerful person with a most winning smile. We know how much you will miss her. We hope the knowledge that she is with our Lord will comfort you and your family. We send our love and deepest sympathy.

Dearest ones! - I indeed was very sorry and sad to receive the news from you but I hope the peaceful nature of the departure of the loved one is able to provide you both great comfort - I'm sorry not to have met Marsha's mom but know the deep commitment you both have to her and know the hole in my own life after losing my precious mom! Love from Vienna, Monica

I am sorry to hear the sad news. Crying can heal the sorrow some. But we have to wait till the time heal our sorrow. It could be no help for consolation but we have to understand that the passing away is one of the inevitable providence. Nothing is the eternal. Your mother does not want for you to be in sad mood for a long time.

I was so sorry to hear of Frieda's passing. she was such a happy person at all times. We enjoyed playing cards with her, and as the minister said at the funeral yesterday, she would most often win. Very sharp! I will miss her as a friend and a pal. I appreciated the times she invited me to play golf at Elkorn Club. It was so much fun. I hope she's playing cards now and winning. Will think of her often. Hope you call me sometime, Marcia. Thanks for all the good times. Love, Lee

I'm really sorry to hear about the Queen Mum. I never met her but I did think I knew her. As you say 89 is a 'damn good innings' - I hope you know that it is a cricketing expression! Cheers, Liz

Dear Dick and Marsha, I am very sorry for the loss of the American Nonna. From all what I learned from you, she was a great nonna, similar to the Italian nonna who is at present in Carrito at freezing temperatures gathering apples. With the understanding that for Marsha the great nonna was her mother it is always a great loss; however, it is important to be able to state that she had a good life. Luigi and Franca.

I work at the Chancellor Place where Frieda Lived till the end and was very happy to attend her funeral. Its funny getting to know these old folks, their lives are a blank sheet till you spend time with them and caring for them. I felt very lucky to be able to relate to the beautiful stories of her life. I too got that little kiss on the cheek and always a heart felt thank you from her when I helped her in any way. I think we really bonded when she shared a piece of her 88 birthday cake with me "German Chocolate" we enjoyed eating that together so much that she asked Marsha if she had more and she did, so we enjoyed a 2nd piece together.Another speciel memory we shared together was watching "The Price is Right", when I could get away or not busy I would sit and watch the game show with her. OOH how she loved that show. I was the one that got the Saturday card game going and she was always ready to play. And her little hand held games were always at her side. Her morning care giver Norma was a big blessing to her also. Marsha hopefully you have read this because I would like to get Normas last name and address so I can keep in contact with her. She also lost the other person she was giving care to the day before your moms funeral, she needs some comforting. My E-Mail is yvetbender@hotmail.com All of us at the Chancellor Place will miss Frieda a great deal. Peace be to your family, and know she was loved by all.
