Dear family, we wish we could join you to say good bye to Eddie and to celebrate his wonderful life. I am honored to know Eddie as a wonderful Uncle and a warm and caring friend. I really cannot express how much I admired Eddie and the way that we were taken in by all of you during our years in California. Peace, Scott, Lynn, Claire and Grace.

Words cannot express enough the deep sorrow and loss that we all have endured recently. If I could be given the chance to say one last word for Pow to hear, it would be Thanks. Not "Goodbye" for he lives on in our hearts and nothing can take that away. Not "I love you" because the love he gave us, and us to him, was greatly apparent. But, "Thanks." Thanks for being there when we needed you - you have shown us how to be there for others. Thanks for being there to share in our joyous occasions and thanks for providing occasions for us to share with you. Thanks for being there to whiddle away the hours while we wait for the next joyous occasion. Thanks for lending an ear, a golfball, and occasionally a toothpick. Thanks, Pow. We're gonna miss you. Okay, that's 68 words. But my point is that somewhere in the middle of that, Pow would start blushing and try to make us stop talking, because he never considered himself worthy of grandiose tributes and praise...but he deserves it. Thanks, Pow, for being a part of our lives. Every moment with you has helped shape us to reflect the good qualities that came so easily to you. Thanks.

I was so sorry to hear of Eddie's passing. He was well loved by his family and friends. He aged in a way I wish for all of us, with dignity, humor and enjoying life. To me, Eddie never looked his age and I expected he would live for another 20 years. He was a gentle, kind and caring man. I know he was adored by his children and grandchildren. Just listen to how they speak of him. We feel sad at his loss. Our prayers and thoughts are with all of you. "Pow-Pow" you will be greatly missed. God speed you on your journey Home.

Pow~Pow, I miss you already...Your the BEST!!! You were always such a wonderful blessing to my life , and I will always have you in my heart. This poem is dedicated to our family. I felt your soft touch and heard your mournful cry. You knew I was leaving, but you couldn't grasp "WHY", You held onto my hand, your heart heavy with sorrow. As I passed from this lifetime and rose into tomorrow. It happened so quickly, in the blink of an eye. My heart was to weak, no strength for "goodbye".You saw it I know, how the light drained from my face, but you missed HIS great GLORY, as it lit up the place. I yearned so to hold you and say "It's okay", but HE took my hand and said, "Let's be on our way". Please don't grieve for me now, LOVE, for I have not died. HE just put out this lamp for my dawn has arrived. Though I'll miss you intensely, as I know you'll miss me, HE has places to take me, and wondrous things I shall see. I might even golf like it used to be. I've been reborn to a place you can't now understand; A place of GLORY, and PEACE, nestled in HIS right hand. Yet I'll be with you always, only a faint breath away. My LOVE shall be with you every moment, every day. And although I don't know yet every step of HIS plan, rest secure in knowing we will meet again! Forever in my heart i love you!!! sAnDy

I have so many fond memories of Eddie when he would come to North Dakota and I also had the privledge of getting to see him every year the past few years on my yearly trip to Norm and Joanns. He was such a kind and gentle man and my kids just loved him as well as did all of the family. He will be greatly missed.
