Obituary of Barney Truelock

Barney Truelock of Clements passed away in Lodi at the age of 84 on June 9, 2006. Mr. Truelock was born on December 10, 1921 in Texas to Thomas and Daisy Truelock. He married Ina Marie Moss in Texas in 1940. They moved to Clements in 1946 where he has since lived. He also served in the U. S. Army. He worked as a rancher most of his life, having worked for Kenny Lane Ranches. He loved animals, and particularly enjoyed raising birds. He also liked to dance, but his greatest love was his family and spending time with them. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He will be so dearly missed. He had been an honorary member of the Clements Buckaroos, and Clements Volunteer Fire Department. He also was a volunteer caretaker for Glenview Cemetery in Clements. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Ina Truelock of Clements; son, Bobby (Gloria) Truelock of Ione; 7 grandchildren, Robert (Janise) Truelock of Galt, Leroy (Kim) Truelock of Galt, Rex (Debra) Truelock of Galt, John and Jennifer Truelock, both of Stockton, Justin Truelock of Roseville and Joey Truelock of Colorado; 15 great-grandchildren and one sister, Oli Gage of Plainview, Texas. He was preceded in death by his son, Billy Truelock; brothers, Mack, Jay D., Ruthie, Fearl, Doc and Bill; sisters, Virgie, Florene, Kelly and Mawdy. Friends are invited to visit on Tuesday from 12:00 noon until 8:00 p.m. at Lodi Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at Glenview Cemetery in Clements.
