Obituary of Arthur John Prudhel

Arthur John Prudhel of Lodi passed away on June 29, 2006 at the age of 82 in Lodi. Mr. Prudhel was born on December 12, 1923 in Lodi, California. He graduated from Lodi Union High School, Class of 1944. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1943-1945 in World War II, Pacific Ocean Area, stationed in Guam. He worked at General Mills, INC. on the Management team for 41 years. After his retirement, he managed Prudhel Estates/Vineyards, working on the family farm. He belonged to the American Legion Post 22 (60 year membership), Native Sons of the Golden West, GMI 25 Year Club, having served as President, and the Woodbridge Golf and Country Club. His accomplishments included coaching basketball and baseball for the Lodi Recreation Department, and Scout Master for the Episcopal Church group. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, farming and family. Mr. Prudhel is survived by his wife of 58 years, Frances Prudhel of Lodi; sons, Pat Prudhel of San Mateo, CA, David Prudhel of Lodi and Craig Prudhel of Davis, CA; grandchildren, Ehren, Justin, Arthur, Lewis and Kristen Prudhel; brothers, Edwin Prudhel and Ray Prudhel of Lodi; sisters, Lillian Dixon of Stockton and Betty Aipperspach of Lodi. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Christina Prudhel; brother, Oscar Prudhel and half-sisters, Ida Thornton and Emily Richoff. There is no visitation, and services will be private. In lieu of flowers family requests memorial contributions be made to The American Heart Association, 1212 Robinhood Drive, Ste. 5D, Stockton, CA, 95207 or donor's choice.
