Audrey F. LaRoe of Lodi, CA., passed away peacefully on Monday, July 3, 2006 in Portland, Oregon, after a brief illness. Audrey was born on June 23, 1919 and had recently celebrated her 87th birthday with her two daughters. Audrey was born at Fox, Mountain View, Arkansas. She married Jess LaRoe on June 27, 1936. Jess and Audrey moved to Lodi in 1940 where Audrey worked for Blewett's Dairy and Jenkel Davidson. Audrey's greatest pleasure in her life was loving her family, helping others, and making Strawberry Pies. Audrey is survived by her three children; Bobbye Solari of Green Valley, AZ., Donna LaRoe of Portland, OR., and Jim LaRoe of Lodi, her sister Alvena Markle, three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; Jess LaRoe, brother; Leon Branscum, and sister; Geneva Harkov. Friends may visit Sunday, July 9th from Noon until 6 p.m., and Monday from 8 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Lodi Funeral Home, 725 S. Fairmont Ave. Private burial services will be held on Monday at Cherokee Memorial Park. A virtual register may be signed or tribute left at www.lodifuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions may be made to Cancer Kids, P.O. Box 1592, Woodbridge, CA. 95258-1592.
