Obituary of Ellsworth Eugene Hein

Ellsworth E. Hein of Lodi passed away in Lodi at the age of 72 on August 4, 2006. Mr. Hein was born on January 15, 1934 in French Camp to Harry and Genevieve Hein. He had been a life-long resident of this area and attended local Seventh-day Adventist schools. He worked at PCP as a machinist as well as Pinkerton Foundry. He was the owner of Ellsworth's Street Rods. He enjoyed building race cars and street rods for the last 25 years. He was an avid fan of NASCAR racing. He is survived by his daughter, Colleen (Michael) Young of Lodi; two granddaughters, Kristen and Margaret Young and four great-grandchildren, Winter, Dharma, Violet and Salvatore. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Eric Young in 2000; two brothers, Harold and Howard Hein and sister, Lola Garcia. Friends are invited to visit at Lodi Funeral Home Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 12 noon. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 12th at 1:00 p.m. at Ellsworth's home. Committal will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society, Lodi Unit, 207 East Alpine Avenue, Stockton, CA 95204.
