Dr. Harland E. Langdon, 75, was born in Dearborn, Michigan, on January 3, 1931, and passed away in Lodi, California, on August 21, 2006, after a long battle with cancer. Hal attended high school in Detroit, followed by his college undergraduate work at the University of Detroit from 1948-1952. He then took his medical training at Stritch Medical School at Loyola University in Chicago, Illinois. Hal entered a general practice in medicine in Chicago until 1967. He completed an Ophthalmology Residency from 1967-1970 at New York University/Bellevue Hospital in Manhattan, New York. Hal will be remembered by all for his love of golf; his incredible work ethic; vacationing with family and friends; his genuine sensitivity and compassion for the less-fortunate; and most of all, the love he held for his wife and family. To those of us who truly knew and loved Hal, he was a remarkably kind good man and human being who touched many people's lives.
