Obituary of Janet Marie Jensen

Janet Marie Jensen, 55 years old of Thornton and her grandson, Keoni Elias Willis, 2 years, 9 months old of Lodi, both passed away on September 4, 2006 in Thornton. Janet was born in Sacramento, CA on June 23, 1951 to Thomas and Evelyn Louise Brainerd. She had worked for over 20 years for the State of California, Department of Education, Budget Department in Accounting. She is survived by her daughter, Melanie and son-in-law, James Willis of Lodi; sister, Susan Powell of Stevenson, WA and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Brainerd. Janet Jensen was a genuine individual who was well-loved by her family and everyone that was privileged to know her. She is remembered as a kind, compassionate, giving and caring Mother and Grandmother, who worked hard and unselfishly embraced many. We will never forget her smile that lit up any room. Janet is missed by many and loved by all. She will always be in every smile, every laugh and always in our Hearts. Keoni Elias Willis was born in Ft. Hood, Texas on November 14, 2003 to James and Melanie Willis. Keoni has lived in this area since he was a small infant. He is survived by his parents, James Marshall, Jr. and Melanie Erica Willis of Lodi; grandparents, James and Lucy Willis of Stockton and grandfather, Craig Jensen of Clearlake. Keoni Willis will always be remembered as the smartest little boy in the world. He was loved by everyone who was touched by his warm smile and lively spirit. From his laughter to his love for cars and frogs, his family and friends will always remember him as a truly awesome and amazing special child. We love our baby and will always wonderfully and deeply love him. We will never stop loving him. A celebration of Janet and Keoni's lives will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2006 at 12:00 noon at Grand Island Mansion, 13415 Grand Island Rd., Walnut Grove, CA, 95690. There is no visitation, and committal will be private. A Trust fund has been established at Farmers & Merchants Bank, P.O. Box 3000, Lodi, CA 95241-1902: Willis and Jensen Family Fund.
