Obituary of Lee Hooper

Junior Lelan "Lee" Hooper of Woodbridge passed away unexpectedly in Manteca on October 18, 2006 at the age of 62. Lee was born in Rush Springs, Oklahoma to David and Nona Hooper on December 27, 1943. His family moved to California when he was very young in 1945. He married Lorraine Bain in 1962, and they moved to Lodi in 1986. He drove semi-truck for at least 40 years. He enjoyed fishing, spending time with his grandchildren and family, and he was very active in his church, going on building trips to other states. He was a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church in Woodbridge. Lee is survived by his wife of 44 years, Lorraine Hooper of Woodbridge; two daughters, Patti (husband, Jim) Ledbetter of Clements, Deanna (husband, Ty) McMullen of Lodi and son, Keith Hooper of Gridley; six grandchildren, Kayla, Cody, Tyler, Jamie, Kirsten and Kelsey; three brothers, Lonnie Hooper of Tulare, Ron Hooper of San Rafael and Dave Hooper of Lockeford; sister, Bea Bauer of Stockton. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth and Finis Hooper. Friends are invited to visit Monday from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. until noon at Lodi Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at Cherokee Memorial Park.
