Obituary of Craig Stephen Lawson

Mr. Craig Stephen Lawson of Lodi and former resident of Stockton passed away unexpectedly Saturday November 11, 2006 in Stockton at the age of 37. Craig was born June 4, 1969 in Stockton, California to Donald and Virginia Lawson. Craig worked as an Engineer Tech. for Granite Construction Co. Tracy Branch. He was a proud United States Navy and decorated Persian Golf War Veteran. Craig was an avid sports fan especially the Oakland Raiders, the San Francisco Giants and the Sacramento Kings. He also enjoyed fishing, golfing and mostly the cherished time spent with his family and friends. He will be best remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father and son, as well as for his quick wit and great sense of humor. He brought joy to many and will be greatly missed. He was the husband and best friend to his loving wife of 4 years, Toni Lawson. Proud father to the light of his life and buddy Jacob Donald Lawson, age 14 months of Lodi; Son of Virgie Worden and step-father Robert of Modesto; Step-brother, Joseph Head of Valley Springs; Son-in-law of John and Rachel Richardson of Lincoln; grandmothers, Lillian Hughes of Reno; Virginia Jauregui of Stockton, brother in-law to Andrea Richardson of Dublin and many beloved friends and distant relatives. He was preceded in death by his father Donald Lawson in 1996. A chapel service will be held Saturday November 18, 2006, 11:00am at the Lodi Funeral Home, followed by full Military Honors. Interment will be held Monday 11:30am at the Sacramento Valley National Veteran Cemetery in Dixon, California. Visitation will be held Friday 12:00-8:00pm at the Lodi Funeral Home.
