Robert was a friend of my grandfather, they grew up together. He was also a friend to my mother, brother and I. We looked forward to visiting him and Bev at their ranch. It was always a fun time when we went there. There was go-cart rides, carriage rides and then a treat at the soda fountain. Our sympahty to all of his family.

Bob is remembered as an extremely talented businessman, and a kind, generous mentor. It was always a pleasure to visit with Bob and Beverly. Bob's humility and industry were great qualities to observe. He will always be remembered as a special man that I had the opportunity to know. Thank you.

Bob was not only a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, but he was a strong supporter of women who fly. He was especially supportive of his dear wife Bev as she learned to fly a helicopter and joined The Whirly-Girls organization. Bob became a member of the Whirly-Girls Men's Auxiliary and never missed a chance to attend the annual Whirly-Girls Scholarship Awards Banquet. It was at this event that we got to know Bob. He loved to talk about his airplane or the latest project on the ranch. Bob truly will be missed by all who knew him.

I knew Barbie Vetter, my sister, Christi Loar (Olson) and Barbie went to school together. I remember going out to your home when I was younger and Bob let us ride the go-carts up and down the airplane strip. Your entire family is wonderful. We will be praying for you and your family. May God comfort you in your time of need. My sincere thoughts and prayers are with you all.

When I think of Robert, I think of a loyal friend. He and my dad were boyhood friends in Angels Camp and their friendship continued until my dad?s death 11 years ago. In fact, Bob and Bev were at the hospital when my dad died and were the first to help. I remember visits when I was growing up and you were always made to feel at home and part of the family. Bob was a man of integrity and one you could count on as a friend. Our sincere sympathy is extended to all of his family. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Today was very emotioal as we celebrated Robert's life. He has been my friend since I was 13 years old, some 67 years ago. My husband, Bert, was his friend through all those years. My family often spent time with the Vetters at their ranch where we had many enjoyable hours and the children played in their pool and had fun on go-carts and took rides in the airplanes as well. My condolences to Beverly and her childen. We will miss him greatly. Ruby

Dear Vetter family, this is truly a great loss. Bob was an incredible person and a wonderful example to all of us kids that used to hang out at the ranch. I have so many wonderful memories of Mom and Dad Vetter, our second family back then. Thank you all for sharing your dad and mom with us. I am so very sorry for your loss. God called a true great heart home!
