Obituary of Lawrence "Larry" Costible

Mr. Lawrence "Larry" A. Costabile of Lodi passed away unexpectedly Saturday February 4, 2007 on a quail hunting trip in Arizona at the age of 59. Larry was born May 22, 1947 in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania to Samuel and Dorothy Costabile. He owned and operated Crop Services, a crop consulting business in Lodi for the past 25 years. He also owned and operated Ag Applications Inc., an agricultural spraying business in Lodi for the past 13 years. Larry graduated from Cal Poly, Pomona in 1975 with a degree in Agricultural Biology. Mr. Costabile was a United States Air Force Veteran and a member of the Elks Lodge in Woodbridge. Larry served on the Board of Directors of Quail Unlimited for Six years, was Chapter Chairman of the Stockton chapter for 16 years and served on the Northern California State Council of Quail Unlimited for three years. Larry was an avid sportsman and had a passion for hunting quail and enjoying his German Shorthair Pointing dogs. He also enjoyed deep-sea fishing, had a passion for sports, loved to rock out to ?rock ?n roll? music, attend rock concerts, and spend time with family and friends. He will be best remembered as a loving and caring husband, son, brother, nephew, and true friend. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Kathy Costabile of Lodi; father, Samuel Costabile of Hacienda Heights; 2 sisters, Diane Costabile of Kingman, Arizona; Kathy Davis (and James) of Murrieta, nieces Kayley, Samantha, and Jamie, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Costabile, his brother Mark Costabile and his beloved hunting companions, ?Rowdy? & ?Bonnie?. Visitation will be held Sunday, February 11 at the Lodi Funeral Home from 2-6. A chapel service will be held Monday February 12, 2007, 11:00am at the Lodi Funeral Home, followed by a celebration of his life at The Elks Lodge in Woodbridge.
