Before my youngest son Aaron went into the Army I bought King tickets from Larry for Aaron's 18th birthday. He gave him the Lakers -v- Kings my son was so happy he wrote Larry a thank you note. LC called me and told me he has never had anyone send him a thank you card before and that that really meant a lot to him. Aaron went into the Army a year later & was sent to Baghdad for a year and Larry would call me and check on him from time to time. That is what a nice guy he was.

I will always remember Larry as someone it was good to see at the Elk's. He was always ready for good conversation and a hearty handshake. We will all miss him. Jerry

It was such a shock to see that Larry has passed. I had such a great time talking about hunting with him. Me from KS and him from CA. our hunting experiences were very different. But our love of Quail were the same. How great that from what I understand, that he was out hunting when he passed. May God Bless all of you. He always brought a bright spot to the conventions that he made. I will remember him fondly.

I met Larry through a mutual friend on a hunting trip to the San Carlos. Larry and his group allowed me to hunt with them for the day and he left me with a marked-up map to guide myself when they pulled out the next day for Stockton. Later that year I had the pleasure of attending the Stockton QU banquet and saw Larry in 2002 at the National QU event in Atlanta. My belated symathy to the family. I just saw the obit. in the QU magazine.
