I worked with Mitch for many years and am truly sorry for your loss. She always stopped by my office with a great smile, some delicious treat and a much needed shoulder rub. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Karen

We have lost a wonderful lady! I was so sorry to read online that Mrs. Yenokida had passed. I'm also sorry I never personally heard her tell her stories about her life during World War II, which I'm told were very informative. Always informative and warm, she helped ease my "library fears". May she rest in peace.

It is is with sadness that I read of Michiye's passing. It has been a lot of years since we worked together on AGRIFAX at PCA. It was so nice to get to know all the family and it is sad that all those friendships that I cultivated during those years were not carried on. I know that she will be dearly missed and my condolences to all the family. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Love, Lena Vasconcellos

Mich was a humble, devoted librarian and friend to all for many years at Galt High School. I am proud and incredibly honored to have know her. The crowning moment for me was the opportunity to escort her to the graduation stage in the mid 1990's, when she was celebrated with an honorary GHS diploma.

Mrs. Yenokida was an extremely kind lady, small in statue, but strong in her personal ethics. She was always willing to help the students of Galt High School. Her legacy will continue through her children.

I will always think of Mich with a big smile on her face and lots and lots of positive energy. She was good friends with the late Yosh Yamauchi and the both of them could warm a room in no time flat!! Enjoyed all the fun(d)raisers we worked together. She is another of that special generation that shared so many hardships and still came out on top. She's gone to that special place now and I a part of me has gone, too. I'm glad she came into my life. Philip Nagata

I hired Mitch as a teachers aid at the Elementary School at Fairsite. She later went to the High School as the librarian. She was always well liked and professional with all. All the students liked Mitch and I could see she enjoyed them too. I count her as a true friend and she will certainly be missed. Go with God Mitch.
