I really don't count myself as being a step-grandaughter. He was the only grandpa that I ever knew. For the first 25 years of my life, we spent every holiday together, on Sundays after church we went out to eat together , we fished together, he even gave me away when I got married. After Grandma died in 1985, we enjoyed times together when he shared alot of his childhood memories with us that we never knew. He was happy when he found Dorothy and he could once again have a companian to share his life with and those of us who had shared many happy times with him were happy for him. Even though we have lived apart for such a long time, I always loved him and always will and though we may not be blood kin, he is still my grandpa and I am proud to have been his grandaughter. I will miss him but I will see him again in Heaven and for that hope, I am grateful.
