Obituary of Dorothy M. Gallagher

Dorothy M. Gallagher, a long-time resident of Stockton passed away in Stockton on April 12, 2007. Mrs. Gallagher was born to Louis and Mable Simmons in San Francisco where she was raised and lived. She moved to Stockton thirty-four years ago. She had worked for Campbell's in The Village in Stockton for at least the last 20 years until 2005. She loved being with people. Her family and friends were her life. She was a lady with great charisma, charm and love, and she will be so dearly missed. She is survived by her son, Daniel Gallagher of Sonoma; two sisters, Lorraine Murphy of Stockton and Pat (Verle) Land of Castro Valley; brother-in-law, Vincent DeMarco; two nieces, Gail (Gary) Venturino, Darlene DeMarco (Joe) Oberlander; three nephews, Donald (Peggy) DeMarco, Ian (Charlene) Land and Brian (Kristine) Land; four great-nieces, Katrina, Kourtney, Kailey, and Amanda; five great-nephews, Kyle, Kristofer, Steven, Nathan and Ronald and five special, loving friends, Ron Moser, Betty Kelso, Angie Hennifer, Virginia Podesta, and Kathy Hoagland. There are many more friends whom she cared for, too many to name. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Joseph Gallagher in 1978 and her sister, Marjorie Ellen DeMarco in 2006. Friends are invited to visit Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Lodi Funeral Home. A chapel service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. Committal will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Colma.
