I was saddened to hear of Dorothy's passing. She was my very first landlady when I moved back to Stockton from college. My mom found the ad and contacted Dorothy and by the time I got to the triplex they had my floor plan all laid out. She was a wonderful caring lady. She was very excited when I got married and Steve moved in. When we built our house and had our children we were frequent visitors to the children's department at Campbells. My children were introduced to Dorothy early on and always looked for her when we went shopping. We enjoyed talking just as much as shopping. I hadn't seen her for many years but my heart was sad when I read her obituary in the Record. She was a wonderful woman.

There are too many stories to be said about Auntie Dot. Although she brought levity to every event, she was a responsible adult who brought happiness to others around her. She was caring and kind, zany and fun. I am grateful to have known her all my life. She always made me smile, whenever I spoke with her. I will always remember her.

You brought such joy to everyone you met and I'm so glad you were our neighbor growing up. I think you taught me how to make my first Brandy Manhattan when I was eight. You always looked out for us kids and you never let my parents know about the parties we had when they were gone. In return, I never told Dan when you were sneaking a cocktail and cigarette on the patio at Bud's. Somehow I think he knew. Love and miss you much, Jani

Dorothy will be in my heart forever. It was always a pleasure to see her. I will never forget her voice saying theres my other son, you and I are just alike we think the same about everything. Dorothy is a person who if you meet her you did not forget her. She made an impression that would stick to you like a fly on flypaper. I loved Dorothy just like a real son. She always wanted to know how the family was just as if she was Elizabeth or Brenton own Grandmother or Linda's Mother Inlaw. I will miss her but never forget her. How could you forget the care she had for everyone she knew and that voice, when I think of her I hear her voice. Love Always Kevin

My aunt was a remarkable lady. When we were kids she was the one that we would call for help. She would somehow get us kids out of trouble without our parents even knowing (she could keep a good secret). There are so many fond memories of her for me as a child. She had a way of making everyone feel special. As an adult, I have had many women to women talks with her and she has taught me about wisdom, life and how to live it to the fulliest. My only desire is to be just like her. I will miss her dearly and will continue to have those talks.

Where does one begin to describe a dear person as Dorothy. Her strong jovial laugh, the excitement in her voice when we would talk with her, her kindness to us and our children. She was "Grandma Dot" to Jennifer and Amy. Our fondest memory of Dot is working at Campbell's when Jennifer and Amy were still very young. We would visit Dorothy at the store and both girls would run up to her with arms open and each receive the biggest hugs from Dorothy!! How special she made them feel. Thank you Dorothy for being a part of our lives. We will remember you with all our love. Heres to you Dorothy, "A tody for the body"!!!! With all our love from your extended family. Craig, Kathy, Jennifer and Amy Kelso

I had the good fortune of working with Dorothy for several years in the 80s at Campbell?s. She was always a joy to be around, had a wonderful sense of humor and a caring spirit. She was genuinely interested in my family and got to know all of us. I remember her sayings and her driving stories that always made me laugh. She touched many lives in such a positive way. We would like to extend our deepest condolences to her family and many friends.

I arrived a little late and was not able to sign the guest book at Doroth'y memorial. I just wanted you to know that I worked with Dorothy at Campbells for seven years, she was such a delightful person. She was like the Pied Piper of the childrens department, I worked in the mens dept and was able to watch her with her customers and friends. Everyone as you know loved Dot and we will really miss her. Genevieve

I 1st met Dorothy 30 years ago as her Don Quick grocery clerk (I was 15). She was a great lady who was always up lifting and eager to put a smile on my face with one of her many, many 1 liner jokes or a full length story either way it was always a good time when she came in or I would run into her in the parking lot when she was working at the photo hut. When she went to work for Campbell?s my mom (Betty Kelso) was working there also, they met and shortly became and remained best of friends ?a true friendship?. Over the years no mater how many times we spoke she was always genuinely concerned about myself and family and always complementing on how beautiful my family was which always made me feel proud. I will miss her calls asking ?where?s Betty! I?ve tried calling her and can?t reach her I?m worried about her?. Dorothy will be missed dearly by my self and my family. Love for ever Kim, Monique, Katelynn, Emily & Cameron Kelso

I worked with Dorothy at Campbell's In The Village. We had some great laughs. She was the sweetest Lady I will ever remember. I remember when she got her driver's license. What a kick that was. To her family, I am so sorry for your loss. Donna Smith

Dorothy will be sadly missed by all who knew her and shopped at Campbells. She always made each of her customers feel like they were her only and most important customer. From the time my daugher was a little girl every time we went to Lincoln Center we had to go to Campbells mainly so she could see if "Dorothy" was working. She just LOVED Dorothy and Dorothy always treated her like she was very special to her. Unfortunately we will not be able to attend her service as we will be out of town but wanted her family to know how much we truly cared for her.

Dorothy was one of my dearest and best friend. Our friendship began the day she started work at Campbell's, we became friends from that day forward. We went through a lot together, good times and bad. I will remember all our trips together the fun we had going out and meeting people, no one was a stranger to Dorothy. I know she thought of my family as part of hers ,they loved her. I will miss her very very much, she was a true friend. Love always, Betty Kelso

We so loved Dorthy! We live in Idaho so we could not get together but tqlked to each other by phone. I just tried to see her at the end of January but she was in therapy for her broken hip and she said she was too busy with all her therapy but I loved just being able to talk to her. We will so miss her and she'll always be in our hearts. She talked all the time of her family, Danny and I always included Lorraine in cards and asking about her! She was such a special person loved by all! Our prayers go out to all her family! Sincerely with love Donna and Sil
