Worked with Jay at MCI before he left for ATT. Also went to school with him at ITT. I’m just wanted to send my condolences to the family.

I remember Jay growing up with his family, in the Treeview Park section of Hayward. Besides baseball, he enjoyed golf. He enjoyed hosting fireworks in the UC Cul De Sac, family, neighbors, friends, adults and kids alike lit a few. He and I had several rewarding private conversations. Like many, we had drifted away due to life's circumstances, yet we were able to speak again at length with each other this 2024 early, spring. I will choose to remember that call. May His Memory Be Eternal.

Q: What will you never forget about Jayson?
A: Jay was one of the biggest baseball fans I have known. He loved talking about it and watching it, especially watching JJ play.
We shared many cheers and support for our Manteca Buffalo boys and Manteca Futures. Our sons became great friends and we essentially inherited a second son. Funny enough Jayson and I discovered we were classmates in junior high as we recognized one another at a Manteca futures tourney and talked about the mutual circle we knew from Hayward. It was awesome to see our sons become friends as well.
Jaysons infamous quotes that I’ll never forget is “see ball -hit ball” and “find some grass kid”. His quirky sense of humor will be one we will always remember. He loved his son, daughters and dogs til the end. He will be missed.

I can remember Jay as a little guy running around full of life. I remember babysitting while Tim and I dated. I remember the good times spent with him as an adult with babies of his own. He was an amazing person.
I will also forever remember the five weeks spent with Jay in ICU, Kaiser hospital and Hospice. We had many great talks, laughs and times to cry. My heart wishes things could have turned out differently but my head knows that couldn’t be.
I love you Jay!

Q: What will you never forget about Jayson?
A: Seven years ago you moved in our neighborhood , pretty quick we saw what a great person, loving father and animal friend you were. We saw you walking Mojo and Suzy every day, playing ball with your son Jayson Jr, taking care of the house and yard. You will be missed Jayson, we will for ever have memories of you tossing the ball for Jayson Jr. You were such a proud father and raised amazing children. Rest in peace Jay ...may you soar among the angels and watch over your loved ones for ever. Your neighbors , Tiny and Kevin
