Obituary of John Andrew Rochon
John Andrew Rochon, age 72 passed away on January 14, 2023 after a three months illness surrounded by his loved ones. John was born May 21, 1950 in Klamath Falls Oregon where he attended Sacred Heart Academy and graduated in 1968.
John is survived and missed by his loving wife Jillian of 23 years; son John ”JR” of Sacramento, Ca; stepchildren DeWayne McQueen of Phoenix, Az and Victoria McCaffrey of Lodi, Ca; two sisters, Jeanette(m.Joe) Sanders of Sheridan, Ca, De(m.Kirby) Wilson of Benson, Az and seven grand children. He is proceeded in death by his brother Richard ”Rick”(m.Sharon) Rochon.
John proved himself to be a wonderful, attentive, loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather “Pappy” and friend to all. John had a passion for playing the guitar and keyboard, as well as singing. He was gifted with the voice of an angel, one that you could listen to for hours, especially at camp outs. Often, John could be found performing karaoke at the Lodi Moose, where he was a proud member since 2008. Over the last 14 years, John has been an active and loyal member of the Lodi Elks Lodge where he has held multiple positions, most recent being the Exalted Ruler of the Elks 2022-2023 and has always stepped up whenever he was asked. His love of the Lodge and commitment to the Order made him an exemplary Elk, A Good Elk. His legacy will carry on to remind us to live a life of meaningful acts of love and service.
