My first travel trip with John as a new acquaintance. We were spending a weekend at an Elks State convention in San Diego . Glen Robinson was ER, I was Leading Knight and John was Secretary of the Lodi Elks Lodge. When we arrived they only had Two rooms instead of Three. Glen pulled rank so John and I shared a room with two queen beds in it. I woke up and went to the restroom . When I left the restroom I saw John laying on his back with his arms straight up in the air. I said very funny John, No response . I repeat the comment, still no response. I was concerned for John and could not sleep. I will finish this story of how John became my very good friend. So come to the Elks lodge on April 1 2023 at 4 PM and hear the rest.
