Floyd Lavoy Brown was born in Maud Oklahoma on September 16th 1937. After several trips to California, the Brown Family settled in Stockton CA. Floyd continued to live in Stockton then retired to Valley Springs. Eventually Floyd and Pat moved to Lockeford where he was able to meet the Lord from his dearly loved home on July 8th 2020 after a courageous battle against Cancer. He was surrounded by his devoted wife Patricia Brown. They had just celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary. Floyd offered the sweetest words of love and kindness to Pat as she attended to his every need. Floyd retired as Assistant Director of Methadone Maintenance where he was employed for 22 years. You could often hear him tell people “they were the captain of their ship” Words that he lived by. Floyd was an US Airforce Veteran. Floyd was an avid car enthusiast. He was well known for restoring vehicles. His 1940 Chevy Coupe was his favorite. He was a long time Nascar fan, who rooted for Dale Earnhardt and Dale Earnhardt Jr. Floyd loved being outdoors be it fishing or camping. Doing both brought him great joy. Floyd loved his Great Grandchildren, Natalie, Johnny and Joshua. He loved to watch them play soccer, listen to them sing and enjoyed them saying prayers over him. Floyd is survived by his loving wife Patricia Brown, Daughters Debbie Trunell of Stockton CA, Carol Bowen (Darren) of Glencoe CA, Grand Children Johnathan Wright (Drea) of Valley Springs CA, Stephanie Wertz (Brett) of Glencoe CA, Christopher Wright (Carrie) of Modesto, Tommy Trunnell (spouse) LA, Lacie McKinnon of Tennessee. 15 Great Grandchildren, 2 Great Grandchildren, 4 Nieces and 4 Great Nieces and 3 Great Nephews. Brother in laws Ken Smith of Stockton and James Smith of Valley Springs. He loved all of his many friends and loved to tell stories of their adventures. Floyd was proceeded in Death by his Mother and Father Floyd and Faye Brown, His Sisters Oleta Merlino and Delois Muth, His Daughter LaVoyce Brown-Larkin and Grand Daughter Angel Marie Trunnell-Paper-Zappulla.
