Obituary of Annie Shackelford Ruyle

Annie Shackelford Ruyle, 91, died June 13, 2020 with her family by her side in Silverton, Oregon. Annie was born on May 3, 1929 in Welty, Oklahoma to Otis and Lizzie Baker. She relocated to Stockton, California where her daughter Susie was born. She Annie later relocated to Texas before finally relocating to Oregon with her granddaughter. Annie was a very caring and loving person and welcomed anyone into her home and she always made sure they were fed. She always worried more about others than she did herself right up until she passed. Annie is the oldest of 9 siblings including Charlene, Marshall, Juanita, Bill, Andy, Melvin, Geneva, Wanda and she is preceded death by her father and mother, Otis & Lizzie Bell Baker, her sister, Louise Barnett, her first husband, George Newton Shackelford, her second husband, Melvin L. Ruyle, her only daughter, Susie Ruyle, and her great great granddaughter Raelynn Edmonds. Annie is survived by grandchildren Sheila Martin and her husband Billy Martin of Silverton, Oregon, Shelley Morris and her husband Robert Morris of Krum Texas, and Matthew Ruyle and his wife Savannah Ruyle of Valley View, Texas. She also had 9 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren. A memorial service will held at the Farmington, California Cemetery on June 23 at 10:30am where she will be laid to rest next to her first husband.
