Dear Sharon,
I remember you as a darling little blond girl, visiting your grandmother, Laura Spencer. I lived across the street from her and my mother was Bessie Hepburn.
My first memory living on Craner Ave. in N. Hollywood was going to the O'Brian home where your mother had a collection of little animals on a shelf. I, being three years old,
asked her if I could have the porcelain black and white doggie. She gave it to me and when my mother heard that I had asked for it, she walked back with me to return it. Your mother,
who was 16 at the time, graciously said I could still have it. That dog bean a collection of animals I had for years.
Patsy was a beautiful girl, whom I envied. Her dating the handsome Ware Spencer was very romantic to me as a little girl. When you were born, we were all excited to see you.
My mother was there when your grandma shut the door on your finger. In fact, it was our car!
I am glad your mother lived a long life and surely she enjoyed her big family. I am glad she was part of my young life and made such an impression on me.
