Obituary of Georgia Carter

Mrs. Georgia Carter of Lodi passed away Sunday January 4, 2004, at a Lodi hospital at the age of 89. Mrs. Carter was born April 4, 1914 to George W. and Beulah Miller in Mountain Home, Arkansas. She worked for Del Monte Cannery for 25 years before retiring in 1976. She had attended the Ham Ln. Church of Christ Church, and enjoyed gardening, cooking, reading and crossword puzzles. She will be dearly missed. She is survived by two daughters, Peggy Ray of Rio Linda, Kathy Reynon of Lodi, 1 son, Jimmie Ray Carter of Ione, 10 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. She was proceeded in death by her husband Jimmie Lee Carter in 1997, 2 sister and 1 brother. A graveside service will be held Thursday January 8th, 2004, 1:00 PM at the Cherokee Memorial Park Cemetery in Lodi under the direction of the Lodi Funeral Home. Remembrances can be sent to the donor?s charity of choice.
