You will be greatly missed by everyone who passed through your life here on earth. You were a rare person who was a friend to all, always had good things to say, had a great sense of humor and was willing to help anyone. I know you are now at peace and with our Lord - we will meet again. Until then, your memory will be with all who knew you here. May God bless and keep you until we meet again. I have known Matt probably since we started high school together. He was vertically challanged but hae never developed an attitude about it as some do. Matt always had time to talk or visit or make some sort of joke. Often at his own expense. His joviality was infectuous. I remember one time at the old Stockton Junior College, Matt and I had P.E. together and the sport of the day was football. Well Matt elected to play guard or tackle and placed himself infront of two of the biggest guys on the other team. Each time they tried to run over him he just got down on all fours and completely bowled them over. They got peeved and picked him up, one on each leg, and dropped him into a garbage can. Well for Matt it was all a big joke and he laughed the whole time, and by the time he crawled out of the garbage can the two big stiffs were also laughing and a good time was had by all. Matt enjoyed people, he enjoyed a good laugh, and he enjoyed a good time. Go Class of "58"

Matty....you were more than my brother-in-law, you were the brother I never had. I have so many memories-I thank God for that, it comforts me now. I'll always remember after your first treatment (the female hormone shot....) when you came into my work dressed up with bright pink lipstick, big bangles on your wrist, a pair of BIG earrings and one of Deb's purses (that you stole from Deb's collection) and high heels-telling me, "I have this awful urge to go shopping-wanna come?". You were always so brave-you gave us strength and comfort, eventhough you were the one that was sick. I will miss our BBQ's, our Gin Rummy games (you and Skip arguing over who knew the rules better), our wacky Christmas gag gifts, and your hugs. I'll miss our long talks about life, love and where you and Deb were going to go on your next vacation. You're on your greatest journey now-save me a place near you. You will always be in my heart, we'll take good care of Deb.....just like I promised you. Rest my dear brother, until we meet again. Love you IN-FA-NEE-TOE! Dee

We first met Matt when his wife's sister married our son. Every time we were in his company we were impressed with his wit, his intelligence and his vast wealth of knowledge about so many things. Especially movies !! Although his physical presence will not be with us, the memories will be there. We only wish we had known him longer and better. To Debra, the children and grandchildren of Matt we send our deepest sympathy.

I want to thank all of you for being so supportive and for your caring thoughts during this difficult time. Sometimes it still does not even feel real. I know my dad would be really proud that all of you took the time to write, call, sent a card or those of you that came to the funeral. I feel so proud that my dad touched so many lives. What a great gift! To My Dad, I am proud to be your daughter and I will cherish all the wonderful memories and gifts you have given me. I will make sure that Ethan knows who is POPPA was and how special you were. I love you more than any words could possibly express.

I first met Matt when Staci and I met in kindergarten years ago (too many to count!). Staci and I were the best of friends up into High School. Matt was like a second father to me growing up. I have so many wonderful memories of sleep-overs, parties and just hanging out, whether at their house or at the nursery in Victor. And of course, Staci's wedding. Years may have passed since we've last seen one another, but you and your family have not been far from my thoughts. Just know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers at this time. God Bless.

We will miss you so much. We were very lucky to have you in our little neighborhood. It is a sad day for all of us and we shall never forget you. Such a up beat person and very entertaining to be around. Too young to leave us but there is a purpose in god's eyes. Bless you and your family

I first met Matt at our Singles Sunday School class some time in 1996 I believe. Matt was in the same study group as me. I remember him being pretty quiet for some time...but, then after a while, those in our group developed a bond. Even though that group of people do not meet weekly like we did in the past, that bond is still there. I have never met anyone quite like Matt, always smiling, quick witted with a wonderful sense of humor. He will be missed and I feel blessed that our paths crossed.

Sid was a great Cousin to us. I was thankful he lived close to my Folks (Harley and Elaine) in Lodi. He was always there to help my Folks. He had a great sense of humor and had us "in stitches" by some of his antics. May God Bless his family, children, and grandchildren. Candy (Hieb) Wilson, Turlock, CA

Matt has not one for learning new equipment so I find this kind of humorous that funeral homes have virtual guestbooks and I think Matt's chuckling about it. When Matt would come in our office it seemed like we always were getting a new office machine and by the time he would halfway figure out how to use it , it either broke or became obsolete. So I remember Matt using our postage machine and having a little trouble with it (We have had it almost 4 years) when I said to him "Boy Matt your really going to hate it when we get our electronic filing cabinets" Matt turned white! We all had a good laugh about it and anybody that knew Matt knew how funny he was, he always liked a good joke. Also anybody that knew Matt would also know how happy he is that he doesn't have to pay alimony anymore! We love you Matt and you are truly missed by every life you have touched. Our love goes out to his family, he was so proud of his family it showed by the glow on his face. Matt is traveling now , I know how much he loved traveling and some day we'll be traveling with him. I think he will be an excellent "Tourguide."
