Obituary of Stavros Geralis

Mr. Stavros Geralis, a long-time resident of Lodi, passed away in Lodi at the age of 76 on Friday, February 23, 2007. Mr. Geralis was born in Samos Island, Greece to Dimitrios and Kaliopi Geralis on May 3, 1930. He married Fotine Geralis in 1951 in Greece. They moved to Canada in 1957, settling in Lodi in 1967, where he has since resided. He retired from Lodi Fabrication in 1992. Mr. Geralis was a member of St. Basil Greek Orthodox Church in Stockton. He was a hard worker who loved to spend time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Fotine (Faye) Geralis of Lodi; sons, Jim and Tom Geralis, both of Lodi; grandson, Steve Geralis of Lodi; sisters, Ellene Eugenikou, Maria Bestolarides and Kiki Aftias, all of Lodi and sister, Argiro Simionides of Greece. He was preceded in death by one brother, Mike Geralis and one sister, Kostandina Hagis. Friends are invited to visit Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Lodi Funeral Home with the Trisagion on Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Church services will be held on Wednesday at St. Basil Greek Orthodox Church at 10:00 a.m. with committal to immediately follow at Cherokee Memorial Park.
