Karen was a wonderful teacher and had given great contributions to Lodi Day Nursery School. She was missed when she left, but was able to fulfill her dream, of having her own daycare. Karen had a stong faith and was always thinking of other people. I was honored to have had a small part of her life shared with me. In 1999 I was diagnosed with breast cancer, and have been cancer free since 2000. I though of Karen as I was going through the extensive treatments that I had to go through, and how she always hung in there no matter how she felt. It was due to her persistence with life that helped me through my struggling time. Thank you Karen for being the women of faith that you were. May the Lord be with her husband and daughter through this time. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Sincerely, Zetta Filler
