Obituary of Raymond Luiz

Raymond H. Luiz, 68,of Lodi, passed away Saturday, October 11, 2003. He was born October 29, 1934 in Napa, California. He moved to the Lodi area 42 years ago. He married Sandra Jardine on December 13, 1969 in Reno, Nevada. Mr. Luiz was a retired diesel mechanic for California Waste Management for 20 years. He also drove truck for 22 years for California Canners & Growers. He was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church, 49er Booster Club, Loyal Order of the Moose, Forest Lake Men's Club and "We-be-a-campin." His hobbies and interests included hunting, astronomy, fishing, golfing, camping, traveling, sports, photography, trap shooting, car racing and farming. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Luiz of Lodi; daughter Jenny Rae Luiz-Kettelman and husband, Gary Kettelman, Jr.; grandson, Graydin Ray Kettelman; and sister, Marguerite Bertolucci and husband, Elio Bertolucci. He was preceded in death by brothers, Edward Luiz, Everett Luiz, George Luiz; sisters, Mary Luiz, Anna Dutra, Edna Pacheco and two infant sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, October 16 at 11:00 AM at St.Anne's Catholic Church with Father Alfred Alexander officiating. Committal wil be at Cherokee Memorial Park following the mass. Visitation will be Tuesday from 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm; Wednesday from 8:00 am - 7:00 pm. There will be a Recitation of the Rosary on Wednesday at 7:00 pm with Father Alfred Alexander officiating.
