Dr. Abrahm Chacko, age 77, passed away October 29, 2003. He was born on July 5, 1926 in Kerala, India. He was educated at Spicer Memorial College in Pune, India. He came to the United States in 1966. He received a Ph.D. at Indiana University in education and psychology and taught at Kentucky State University, retiring as a college professor in 1985. After retiring, he served as a missionary in Africa, India, the Phillipines and the Caribbean. His grand passion was the planting of churches in remote areas of the world. He was well known as a walking Bible Concordance as he had memorized great portions of the Bible. He will always be remembered as a man who stayed faithful to God to the very end. He was a resident of Lodi for the past four years. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Fairmont Avenue, Lodi. Her is survived by his wife of 50 years, celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on April 12, 2003, Mary Matthew Chacko of Lodi; children, Dr. Danny and wife, Delores Chacko of Oneida, Tennessee, Hannah and Dr. Samuel Thomas of Lodi, Drs. David and Janna Chacko of Wichita, Kansas; grandchildren, Matthew and Alexandra Chacko. A chapel service will be held, Saturday, November 1st at 1 pm at Lodi Funeral Home with Pastor Ralph S. Watts, III of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Fairmont Avenue, officiating. Committal will follow immediately after the service at Lodi Memorial Cemetery.
