I've known the Tisons since kindergarten. John would come on all of our field trips and was more than happy to run around and play with us. There really aren't many things I can say, except that he was an amazing guy. and jon, just know we're all here for you at school if you need anything, ANYTHING at all.

John was truely a fun person to be around. He was always loads of fun on our field trips, probably one of the few parents who goofed around with us. My dad played basketball with him "back in the day" and always spoke of him highly, not only for his basketball skills but for his kindness and sense of humor. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

John was a great friend in school. He will always be remembered and missed by so many. I mourn his passing though we had seen each other so seldom in the past years, his memory is still there. May God bless and keep him.

I will always remember you for your tender heart and your kind ways. I still see you as you were as a child--white-blonde hair flying in the wind, asking me to read you and your brothers more scarey stories. Although our lives have encompassed sadness, I will remeber you as a bright spot in our lives. May the Lord protect your soul on its journey. I will see you when they call me home. With love, your cousin Nettie

John had a "heart of gold". He coached my daughter Robbin in city league basketball apx 10 years ago and he made it fun for the girls. I always looked up to John as he inspired the girls during the game and made us all enjoy the game that much more. He will be miss. Kevin Van Steenberge

Hey Cuz! That's what you always said when you saw me. I will never forget you Larry, Bruce & Dennis coming out to the ranch. We all had such a good time chasing each other around and generally goofing off. Even though you always gave me a problem, we had lot's of fun. We always talked about the time we locked you in the basement and let you scream it off for an hour!! Then there was my sister with her ghost stories that scared the blue-blazes out of you! We had some great times, huh? We are all going to miss you deeply. You always had such a zest for life. Hang in there Cuz, they say it is better on the other side! I know I will see you again! Love Your cousin, Stephanie
