I READ JOAN,S STORY, LAUGHED AND THOUGHT YEAH, THAT'S LIZ. AS I WAS SITTING REMEMBERING LIZ I WAS CAUGHT UP IN TEARS AND PAIN, WONDERING WHO'S GOING TO KEEP ME GOING WHEN LIFE IS JUST TOO HARD OR MAKE ME LAUGH UNTIL I CRY. I STARTED THINKING ABOUT WHAT LIZ WOULD HAVE TO SAY TO ME AS I SIT AND FEEL SORRY FOR MYSELF, AND I COULD HEAR IT AS CLEAR AS COULD BE, MARY THIS IS JUST BULL.... It seems the news paper always brings bad news as today's paper did. Liz was a good friend and will be missed. We first met her when Stan and her worked for the Stockton PD. He met her there when she worked in the Police Photo Lab. That was my assignment then and what a treasure she was. Her always ready smile brought sunshine and love to a sometimes dark business. She was always happy and that will be missed the most. She always showed happyness no matter how her day was. That helped. Stan you are a good friend too and we really feel the loss too. God took my partner in the photo lab, Daryl Bottemiller early but I know their spirit still lives within us. Jill and I wish you the best of our love. Mike & Jill Cassidy

Dearest Family and Friends: Elizabeth - better known to me as Liz, was a remarkable woman and best friend to me for 40 years. It didn't matter how long you knew Liz. If you had the pleasure of knowing her, you became a friend for always. Liz is the most positive, giving person I've known. One of my favorite qualitites about Liz was her infectious giggle. I hope this short story brings a giggle to your hearts. I never heart Liz complain throughout her struggles with cancer. She reminded me of that quality after I had broken my arm this past summer. There we were - sitting at her house, and as usual I was whining about my arm. Liz was sitting there hooked up to her 24 hour chemo pack, pointing her finger at me and (excuse my frankness, but this was also Liz) I quote, "Joan, I'll give you just one more week to bitch about your arm and that's it. I don't want to hear it again!" Wow! She was a remarkable woman. We have all lost a uniquely special family member or a dear friend. Liz, you will be sore missed and may your family and friends find peace throughout the process of healing. I will miss and love you always.

Dear Family, There are no words, as you know all too well...to express sympathy at your loss. May it help to share the hugs and kind words that each of us offer at the loss of wife and Mom, grammy. Liz and I met..way back in 1991 when Liz took on her cancer and I took on mine. Over the years our paths crossed and recrossed and we celebrated so many challenges and successes! As you well know...Liz was spirit beyond belief...and "cancer" had surely met its match as she fought it tooth and nail! I will always remember her smile, her determination, her attitude, her fight to stay with all of you! We can pray that there was one heck of a BIG job in Heaven that needed her expertise in all matters of the heart! May it help in some small corner of your hearts to know that Liz mattered, participated, encouraged, loved and supported so many...what a tribute to have walked this path in life...and left so much of herself for each of us to fondly recall...and call up the treasure chest of wonderful "remember when's". Thank You for allowing Liz the freedom and resources to share so much of WHO she was...and exactly WHAT her mission here was!!! Our love to each of you...welcome those silly little memories she will send you in rain drop, a story, a photo, a note, a flashing light...you will see her comfort when you least expect it!!! As I got to know her over the next four years, she displayed that youth and vibrancy in everything she did. She delighted in Brooks' accomplishments and laughed good-naturedly at his follies. Even when she got angry at him (often at things I was only too happy to rat Brooks out on), her sense of humor and immense love for her children always directed her admonishing of him. I am happy to have known such a bright, witty, compassionate woman, and I can only aspire to both capture and promote such joi de vivre in my own life. My love and sincerest regrets, Katey O'Malley

Dear Stan and Family, Liz was one of those rare souls who have the gift of making everyone they meet feel special. It was as if she sent a small part of her with you whenever you had the chance to meet her. It is a blessing to know someone who spreads so much optimism and joy. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you. Love, Jeanne and Steve

Elizabeth was truely a wonderful person. Although we only knew her through her visit here for cancer treatment, her strong and vibrant spirit, and love for life shined through. It was an HONOR to be able to take care of her. During the times when she felt better, many of us spent HOURS in her room listening to her talk about her life experiences, and her plans. We are deeply saddened and shocked to have lost her, and will always remember her in our thoughts and prayers. The Nurses of Duke's AMBT Unit

My deepest condolensces to you Mr. Rosenquist, Michele, Tiffany, Grant and Brooks. Mrs. Rosenquist was truly a beautiful individual. She lived according to the beat of her own drum and I believe this spirit lives on in her children and family. Each time I met her she was upbeat, positive and happy. She really enjoyed her life and particularly cherished the time she spent with her family. I know these next few months will be extremely difficult for you all. Please know that I am always here for you. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
