Obituary of Bernice Huston-Milligan

Mrs. Bernice C. Huston-Milligan of Burson and former resident of Valley Springs, passed away Sunday January 11, 2004 at a Lodi Hospital at the age of 92. Mrs. Huston-Milligan was born November 26, 1911 in Barnhart, Missouri to Jacob and Cora Hancock. Mrs. Huston-Milligan moved to Valley Springs in 1935 and then later moved to Burson in 1952, where she remained until most recent time. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Milton Chapter, the Rebekah Lodge of Jenny Lind, Jazz Clubs of Stockton and Sacramento, and the Valley Springs Hot Shots Golf Club. She enjoyed music, dancing, golfing and playing the piano. She will be dearly missed. She is survived by 2 sons, Russell Herbert of Pioneer, Lowell Herbert of Valley Springs, 6 grandsons and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Russell Herbert, Sr., 2nd husband, John D. Huston, 3rd husband, Richard W. Milligan, 1 brother and 3 sister. A chapel service will be held Thursday January 15, 2004, 10:00 AM at the Lodi Funeral, followed by interment at the Cherokee Memorial Park Cemetery in Lodi.
