Obituary of Alma M. Bender

Alma M. Bender of Lodi, passed away on January 14, 2004 in Lodi at the age of 92. Alma was born in Fullerton, North Dakota on April 13, 1911. She married Jacob Bender on April 16,1933 in Ellendale, North Dakota. They moved to Lodi in November of 1935. She had worked as a gym assistant for 25 years at Lodi High School. Mrs. Bender was a member of Temple Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher. She enjoyed gardening, but her greatest love was her family. She is survived by her daughter, Maxine Ferraiolo of Morada; son, Timothy W. Adler of Susanville; grandchildren, Nikki Ann Ferraiolo, Becky Lynn Adler, Steve Adler, and Tammy Bunch; numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years, Jacob Bender; daughter, Marjorie Adler Anderson; grandson, Wayne Adler, Jr. and eleven siblings. There will be a Funeral Service in the Evergreen Chapel at Cherokee Memorial Park on Monday at 10:00 AM. Interment will be private at Cherokee Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Saturday from 12noon until 8:00 PM and Sunday from 9:00 AM until 8:00 PM at Lodi Funeral Home.
