Obituary of John M. Hepper

John M. Hepper of Galt passed away in Sacramento on January 31, 2004 at the age of 87. Mr. Hepper was born in Lodi on August 20, 1916. He graduated from Lodi High School. He was a veteran of the Merchant Marines. He married Marjorie Schwemmer in 1948. They resided in Lodi for four years before settling in Galt in 1952. Mr. Hepper was self-employed as the owner of Galt Furniture Company for 48 years. He enjoyed fishing, bowling and football. He was a member of the United Congregational Christian Church in Lodi and a Charter Member of the Lodi Moose Organization. He is survived by his sons, Mark Hepper of Grand Rapids, Michigan and Kenneth Hepper of Mt. View, CA; 4 grandchildren; one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Hepper; brothers, Walter and Kenneth Hepper and Harold Hepper and one grandchild. A Chapel Service will be held at Galt Funeral Home on Wednesday at 11: 00AM . Committal will be private. Visitation will be Monday from 3:00PM-8:00PM and Tuesday, 9:00AM-8PM.
