Obituary of Florence Knoll

Florence of Acampo passed away in Acampo on January 30, 2004 at the age of 76. Mrs. Knoll was born in Herreid, South Dakota on August 28, 1927. She moved with her family to Lodi in November of 1944. She married Norman Knoll on May 7, 1950 in Lodi at which time they moved to Acampo where she has since resided. She was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, flower arranging, music-piano, organ and singing as well as genealogy research. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church, Lodi Garden Club, and she was an organist for many years for First Baptist Church. She is survived by husband, Norman Knoll of Acampo, daughters, Connie Brown of Littleton, Colorado, Karolyn McGladdery of Lodi; 5 grandchildren; brother, Duane Graf of Novato; sisters, Lydia Stoebner of Lodi, Irene Melcher of Lodi, Lorraine Smith of Sonoma, Phyllis Harais of Clayton and Mabel Beyerle of Concord. She was preceded in death by 3 sisters and 5 brothers. A graveside service will be held at Cherokee Memorial Park on Thursday at 10:00 AM. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 11:00 AM at Temple Baptist Church with Rev. Perry Kallis officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4PM-8PM and Wednesday from 8AM-8PM at Lodi Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Temple Baptist Church Building Fund, 801 S. Lower Sacramento Road, Lodi, CA 95240.
