Obituary of Jerry Price

Jerry Price passed away in Mt. Shasta on February 10, 2004 at the age of 51. Jerry was born in Lodi and had also lived in Thornton during his young adult years. He graduated from Galt High School and went on to attend Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, transferring to Sacramento State where he earned his BS degree. He was a Special Investigator in the Law Enforcement and Investigations Department of the U.S. Forest Service. He had also worked at Ellis Island and Independence Hall during his 26 years with the Dept of Forestry. He enjoyed music, art, particularly his interest as a cartoonist, but most important was his love for his two dogs and the 49ers football team. He is survived by his mother, Marie Price of Thornton; siblings, Bill Price of Thornton, Gail Price of Woodbridge and Ron Price of Acampo; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Price in 1969. A Chapel Service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM at Lodi Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Ogren of Thornton Bible Church officiating. Committal will follow immediately at Cherokee Memorial Park. Visitation will be 8:00 AM until 8:00 PM at Lodi Funeral Home on Wednesday.
