There are so many ways to to honor Rita and to begin with she always was our rock and in charge in every wayof life and love of family and friends and country. She gave all to us and expected nothing in return but love and honesty. If you needed anything or just a ear to listen she was there,We raised our children together, and played softball together and laughed and cried together, loved each other as sisters would. I was not the only classmate she gave so much to we had a lot of us and we will miss her smile and love that was always there for us. Her children know that they have the best memories any children could have and always keep in mind the happiness she wished for all of you. God bless you Marl.

We became members of Rita's extended family when our son Scott married Kathy. She made us feel welcome and included us in many family get togethers. Rita was a member and supporter of our laryngectomee group "Look Who's Talking". She attended the state and international conferences when she could and was there to help as needed. She was so at ease with people. We will all miss her. The ones we love are never gone, they live within our hearts.

Angel, Cathy, David and Tommy, I'm so saddened to hear about the loss of your mother. She was a part of my childhood that I will never forget. I know we have lost touch over time, but the summers we spent together have lingered in my memories and when I'm back in town I still drive by the house on sunset and reminisce about those times we spent together at the lake and playing on the street. Your mother made me feel as welcome in her home as if it were my own, she opened her heart and home to all and I was truly blessed to have known her. My sincere condolenses to all of you and yours on this very sad occassion, also my best wishes for the future to all of you and the hope that we will meet one day to celebrate her life.

Dear Family: it is with sorrow I must give my condolences. I hope that we all can remeber the good times that we had as children living on Sunset Drive. Mrs. Pellegrini was a big part of our youth and we will miss her dearly. She certainly influenced and harassed us as children and I will never forget her. I had the fortunate opportunity to see her at the downtown Farmers Market a couple of weeks ago and spent time talking to her and Tommy. I was glad that she was able to meet my family. I did det to say 'Hi' to her the night before she passed at the last Farmers Market. We wish you all the best and celebrate the life of Rita. May God bless you and your family.

Angel, Kathy, David and Tommy, Saying I'm sorry for the passing of your "crazy" mother will hardly make a dent in what you all must be feeling now. There is no doubt in my mind that you will remember her by all the wonderful things she acheived in her living years. God has a plan for all of us on this earth, and I know in my heart that her mission was accomplished. The one thing I will always remember about your mom, is you never had to guess what she was thinking, because she would let ya know! Be strong for each other and most of all be proud of the wonderful women you will always remember as your MOM.

I AM SO SADDENED BY THE PASSING OF RITA. SHE WAS VERY INVOLVED IN MY EARLY YEARS AT G. WASHINGTON SCHOOL AND CUB SCOUTS. I WENT TO SCHOOL WITH HER KIDS AND PLAYED WITH DAVID WHEN WE WERE YOUNGSTERS. A COUPLE WEEKS AGO AT THE LODI FARMERS MARKET I HEARD SOMEONE CALL OUT MY NAME...IT WAS RITA. AFTER SOME 25-30 YEARS SHE STILL RECOGNIZED ME! HOW FLATTERING WAS THAT. WE HAD A BREW TOGETHER AND REMINISCED ABOUT THE PAST. IT WAS TRULY A SPECIAL CONVERSATION FOR ME AFTER ALL THOSE YEARS. MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS ARE WITH HER FAMILY. DAVE PETERS

Rita was the "Go-To-Gal" when it came to organizing our high school reunions. She was the one who would track down people and keep us posted and in touch. After our last reunion, Rita hand delivered, a detailed list of classmates for me to keep as she said that she had an extra copy. Rita was the one who kept me informed about what was going on in Lodi when I lived in Korea and Japan and often times felt very out of touch. She made the extra effort to drop emails to fill me in. When you're away from home, those things really mean a lot. Rita was taken from us much too soon and I'm going to miss her very much. Sincere regards, Marsha Sanger

I've carried a memory of Rita for more than 50 years that to me captures her essence. In the 8th grade at Needham School, I remember her setting that strong jaw, taking the first pitch, and swinging a bat so powerfully she hit an in-field homerun. Rita not only was a powerful hitter, but also a powerful personality, a powerful hugger, and most of all, a powerfully loving friend. That big heart finally has stopped beating, but her spirit lives on, and the memories we all carry of her remain alive in us.

A dear friend who will be missed and thought of often. We were immediate friends from the first day that Rita moved to Flora street with her family. We lived across the street from each other and were so close. Some of you may not know this, but one day when she was running from her brother (Robert) over to my house she feel and broke her two front teeth on my door frame. We actually laughed after because she looked like a vampire. Well, her teeth got fixed and she always had a beautiful smile for everyone. We shared our friendship even after her family moved to the other side of town. We lost contact after high school, but never lost our love for each other. We did share a special bond and it felt so good when ever we did make contact. I will miss her terribly. She came from a beautiful loving family and she gave everything she could to her children. I know they meant the world to her. She was a truely wonderful person that added so much to peoples lives.

Dear Kids - we will miss your mom a lot. We remember the great times at Bass Lake and on the Delta.. Please know that we are thinking of you. Scott got this news from Mike via Steve Whiting today. We are so shocked that such a fighter as your mom has been taken. She was always a source of strength and positive thinking for us. We have just moved back to No. CA to be with Lisa, Ken and baby grandson, Colin, and wanted to see your mom in Lodi. We didn't get together as much as we wanted, but when we did, it was as if we had never moved from Lodi. Peace be with each of you.

To Rita's Family, Tommy and baby Grand daughter, I called her "Momma Rita." She was a wonderful friend and co worker to all of us at Century 21. I especially enjoyed taking her dancing in Sacramento to help lift her spirts, after the loss of her husband. We attended a many Company Open House events cruzing the the big cadi to all the new offices. Rita and i also roomed together in Tahoe just before her knee surgery. We also had a very interesting real estate sales transaction, that needed some extra care, more than most.... but we got through it together successfully. Plus the wonderful feeling i had when i opened my eyes to see her wonderful smile, great tan and yellow shirt... as i awoke from my ankle surgery. She was awaiting with my Mother at Kaiser. She was the dear friend who also drove me to the Hospital in Modesto when i needed help, she was my Momma Rita too. All i can really say is she will be greatly missed from the office and as the friend i could always go to with a question or just for a cute joke. If ever i can do anything to assist Rita's friends or family members, please call me anytime! Love, Cathy Grelle
