Joe Ann was a very special person. We shared many community service stories over the years. Her dedication to Lions was unbelievable. Although Joe Ann has returned to her Father's house, her many community activities will live on in memory. Rest in peace.

Jo Ann sort of re-energized the Lions-All Star Football Game. That was one of her passions. Her time and effort kept the game moving forward. She was always looking to provide the best experience possible for the young athletes involved in the game and always had the best interest of the game in her heart. She will be greatly missed.

Losing Joe Ann this week has been very difficult for those of us who have loved her over the years. She has always been such a kind and dear person to me. We sat next to each other at work and we became even closer. Her gentle, soft voice, over the phone, was such a comfort to the customers that would call Blue Shield. I never, ever heard Joe Ann raise her voice to anyone that called in. She was always kind and caring to her customers. I will miss her coming in to work each morning and saying to me, "Hi Lannie". Joe Ann always gave 150% of anything she ever did. Her envolvement with the Lions' Club was awesome. She loved preparing each year for the Football game and also for Camp Pacifica, for the hearing impaired children. She used to tell me about the kids and how they loved it when she and Elizabeth would take the little doggies to camp. The kids loved it...Another wonderful memory of Joe Ann, is how she loved her Stephanie and Jonathan. They meant the world to her. I loved to hear her tell about them. I loved looking at the pictures she would bring in to show us. The pictures of them petting the wild animals are so awesome. I had the wonderful opportunity to meet Vic and Scott during Joe Ann's illness. I have great admiration for them and have heard from Joe Ann her love for her boys. I want to thank Scott and Vic for allowing me to spend time with their mom while she was in the hospital. I will always remember her and love her. May God bless you Vic and Scott and your families. God is your strength. Draw from Him during these difficult days ahead. He will see you through. Always, Alanna Black Friend and Co-worker at Blue Shield

It saddened me very much to learn of Joe Ann's untimely death. For all the reasons given in previous tributes, I ditto. I was sitting last night thinking about her and I could not ever remember her complaining about anything. She was very kind and upbeat to everyone about all things. Her passion for the Lions Club and all she did was phenomenal, a very dedicated lady to the causes at hand. She surely had a special "mom's" love for her family and grandchildren. I could never figure out who was more excited when she was flying to see the grandchildren - her or the grandkids! She was a lovely person and as previously mentioned, now a guardian angel.....My thoughts and prayers go out to the family.

Although I did not have the pleasure of knowing JoeAnn as well as I wish I would have, I do know that JoeAnn was a kind person who touched many lives. The little I did know about JoeAnn was her everlasting love for her children and grandchildren, Stephanie and Jonathan whom she adored, as well as her commitment to the Lions Club. May her family gain strength from one another and peace from knowing that JoeAnn left behind an unforgettable mark on this earth. God Bless Joleen

To the family of Joe Anne. A loved one is truly what we say" Loved one" Because of the Love , the loving memories and the Love she shared will comfort us in our time of rembererance and need. Loving someone as dear as a Mother is truly a gift. We loved her because she first loved us. Her smile, her kindness, dertermination, strength all comes from her heart. I pray that God will bless you at this time ,and to know that he has prepared a room in his mansion for her, is also comforting. Everyone attending will all be dressed up, but to know that she is truly the one at a party is also very comforting. We stay left behind, but never forgotten, she has layed a path for many people that she has come in contact with, and I truly want to follow that path and to see her again. What an example she is to me and an ecourager of all possibities in life. May God Bless her next generations and that they too would carry such a legacy. I will forever keep her in my heart. with love Denise Gomez
