Lena Maria Vannoorden of Lodi passed away in Lodi on August 10, 2004 at the age of 86. Mrs. Vannoorden was born in Burbank, CA. on September 3, 1917. She married Lawrence Vannoorden in 1940. They moved to South San Francisco in 1952, then to San Mateo in 1958 until 1978 when she retired as a bookkeeper from Armour Meats. She and her husband moved to Modesto at this time. She later moved to Lodi in 2001. She enjoyed gardening and knitting. Lena is survived by her son, Larry Vannoorden of Lodi and granddaughter, Kathy Vannoorden of Sunrise, Florida. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Lawrence Vannoorden, Sr. and three brothers. There is no visitation and committal is private.
