Obituary of Mollie Lorraine Nickel

Mollie Lorraine Nickel of Lodi passed away in Lodi at the age of 94 on August 13, 2004. Mrs. Nickel was born on December 13, 1909 in Aqawam, Montana to Fred and Rosina Zimbelman. They moved to Lodi around 1920. In 1934, she married Ted Nickel, and she has spent her life in Lodi. She worked for many summers at the Lodi Cannery. She was a member of Zion Reformed Church for over 60 years, and she enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and in her early years, lapidary work and ceramics. She is survived by her son Raymond and wife, Judy Nickel of Port Hadlock, WA; granddaughter, Janet and husband, David Ingrum of Clements and three great-grandchildren, Melissa, Christopher and Michael Ingrum. Mrs. Nickel was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore "Ted" Nickel in 1983; son, Richard Nickel in 2000 and two sisters and two brothers. A Service will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 AM at Evergreen Chapel at Cherokee Memorial Park with Rev. Herbert Schaal of Zion Reformed Church officiating. Committal will immediately follow. Visitation will be held on Monday from 8:00 AM until 8:00 PM at Lodi Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to The American Heart Association, 1212 W.
