I want to say what a blessing Tillie has been to me my whole life! As long as I can remember, I remember her being around! (at FBC) She was a very faithful and loving teacher and a very great role model of how to be "on fire for the Lord!" All are and have been blessed to know her. We have lost a true soldier for Christ here on this earth and God has gained a blessed and true cheerleader! She is "dancing on the streets that are golden" and shining her radiance to all she sees there as they welcome her with open arms and shouts of joy!

...since a little girl I could remember Tillie's wonderful joyful countenance, meekness, boldness and courage as she would share with everyone and anyone who would listen to this "small framed, personable, sweet" woman. I can also remember how Adolf would patiently (to my surprise--sometimes), wait as she would joyfully ask others, "Do you know my Saviour?" or "you give these tracks to someone who doesn't know Jesus" or "give this money to your children when they learn these verses"... Never did a conversation go by without the Name of Jesus being mentioned. She is a supreme example of how each of us should be living...without fear...without apprehension of what others think...with courage and boldness...knowing that God exists by talking about the Greatest One ever to exist! She truly has been an example for me to immulate! I know this will sound wierd but...Happy Birthday Tillie in your new home, with your Saviour and the only son you loved so much, Brent. Happy Birthday in a new body and home with honor and gifts (that I know you will give back to Jesus because he's the one who's given you all you've had). I know He is honoring you before the saints that have gone before you. She was truly a faithful follower of Jesus the Christ! And loved so much because of HIM! She's finally HOME! Happily Ever After!

I first me Tillie when my husband and I were chosen to manage the La Espana Apts on Ham Lane in 1999 where Tillie lived. She had a love for the Lord like I'd had never seen and you could not leave her apartment without a handfull of Bible tracts. When I first met her she told me all about her husband Adolf and her son Brent and how they had gone to be with the Lord. She also had a sister at Vienna Conv which was down the street from her apartment and she would visit her daily and do her laundry each week.Tillie was always on the go, walking here and there. Every time I came to visit she would tell me she wants to go be with her husband and her son. She would ask me why doesn't the Lord take me home too? I would tell her the Lord isn't ready for her yet but that wasn't the answer she wanted to hear. One day after being asked this question for about the hundreth time I told her, "Tillie, do you want to know why the Lord hasn't taken you to heaven yet?" She got excited and said, "Yes, why?" I told her, "because He can't catch you, that's why!" We both had a good laugh. At the time I met Tillie my husband and I were searching for a church so imagine our surprise when we chose First Baptist and found Tillie there. It was a double bonus for us. Dear sweet Tillie, I will miss you but I know it's not forever. I will be seeing you again and you can introduce me to Adolf and Brent.

Tillie, Helen, and my mother Rose were the best of friends all of their adult lives. When mom moved to California she was taken in by the entire Flemmer and Bertsch families. I know she felt she was part of your family and we feel the loss of Tillie here in Montana. Know that Tillie is with the Lord following those loved ones that preceded her. In my heart I can feel her welcome home party. Our condolences. Jim Wohl Sandy and Michelle Wohl

Tillie was a friend to my mother when she resided at Ashley Place and I will also be grateful for that. I will always remember visiting with Tillie in her room where she proudly and lovingly showed me pictures of her beloved husband and son, and talked about losing her son in Vietnam. She would tell my mother, "You are so lucky to have these 2 girls and your grandons" and my mother would nod & agree! She always talked about wanting to "go home," so I'm glad that she has done just that. My hope is that she is now reunited with her husband and son, and very happy!

Tillie was such a wonderful lady, very special to all who met her! I was one of the children she taught at FBC (30 some years ago) and who she led to the Lord. She will always be in my thoughts and holds a special place in my heart. I was fortunate to visit Tillie the week she died and she just kept asking me to pray that the Lord will take her home. Tillie's prayer was finally answered and we left behind will truly miss her! Love, Janet

We would like to pay tribute to Tillie. She was a great lady and friend. In the sixties I assisted her in a Sunday School class. She was also my daughter's Sunday School teacher during her 5th and 6th grade. She has left her mark on our family. We pray for comfort and peace to her family. Sincerely, Don and Darlene Heil

To Tillie and Family, What a lasting impression you left on my little life when I was ten years old and in your Sunday School class at First Baptist Church!!! I will always treasure the experience of having you for a teacher and the love you had for our savior which you so willing shared. I'm so very thankful for the bible verses you encouraged me to memorize because they are hidden in my heart to this day!!! The lunceons you gave for us at your house and the genuine love of Christ which shone through your life were a real highlight in my childhood. I know today you are enjoying the sweet fellowship of our savior and lord. I was so lucky that you took the time to touch my life so many years ago!!!!

Tillie was a special aunt. She, like her Lord and Master, always 'went about doing good; Tillie was special in every way. She had a ready testimony of her faith in the Lord. She met obstacles with a will to win. She made a good life for her late husband and son. I will not be able to be at the memorial service, but will make a contribution to the church memorial fund. Her faithful witness will continue to bear fruit. Peace to all in the family. Al Fischer

Tillie was such a faithful servant of the Lord. She never failed to hand a tract to everyone she met. Our sons always remembered her as a very special Sunday School teacher.
