Jessica, I am sorry I could not attend Glen's service today. I think about you and your family and how difficult this time is for all of you. I want you to know that I have complete faith and confidence in your ability to carry on and do what is necessary to raise your children, and show them your inner strengths. You are a wonderful and gifted young woman. Right now it is hard just to put one foot in front of the other and make it through the day, but in due time you will stand up stronger than before and move onward. I am praying for you and all of your family daily. If you ever need anything, please call me. All my love, Kitty

I have many great memories of Glenn from his days at St. Anne's and his Confirmation. I remember the youth group made a movie called "Grapebusters." Glenn was the grape "buster" and Robert was the mutant grape terrorizing Lodi & St. Anne's Church. I remember we had a blast! Glenn always had a great attitude and a smile on his face, and he was willing to help out. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I know his spirit lives on in his family, his wife, his children, and the many people that were blessed to know him.

Dearest Gaye, You know my mother's heart at time like this. I want to see or talk to you, but, I don't have a phone number or an address for you. I'm so sorry but I cannot get out of work on Thursday morning. I have been thinking about the spiritual encounters that I witnessed Glenn having when he was little. Keep that in your heart. You will only be separated for a time. We love you, Don and Sharon Harding

I have never met a more caring and pleasant patient in the 14 years I have been on davis 8. Even when he was so sick with fevers he would apologize for calling for help. I assure him I was more than happy to help him when he needed me. The saddest thing for me is that his children, because they are still so young, will never know what a great father they had. I hope with all my heart that a piece of him will remain with each one of them in spirit to help guide them. May the wonderful memories you shared, help you through this time of sorrow. You were truly blessed to have him in your life.

Life's goodness can at times be momentarily overshadowed. It can never be outweighed. When you take the time to look with your heart, you'll see the goodness of life shining brightly in all directions. GLENN always lived his life this way. His life will shine on in his Family and Friends. For every single act of senseless death, there are thousands more acts of caring and compassion. For every single thing that causes pain, there are more reasons for hope. GLENN taught us this by example. The goodness of life is so thoroughly a part of life that it often goes unnoticed until events such as death seem to undermine it. Yet life's goodness always comes back, ever stronger for having been challenged. On this day, we must count our many blessings, and live them fully. GLENN lived everyday with optimism and to it's fullest--with the biggest smile. Wrap our thoughts , our actions, and ourselves around life's enduring goodness. Make it grow ever stronger. Let's do this FOR GLENN, not because of his death. He came into our family with both feet planted and a huge smile. He showed us strength and love--I am honored to have known him. God has him in His arms now--

I just can?t express my sorrow enough. You and your family had been constantly on my mind and in my prayers since last week. No mom should lose their son. Moms are supposed to go first. No spouse should have to carry on and raise children alone. It is a partnership and mom?s need partners to help carry the (wonderful & sometimes stressful) load. I?ve thought and thought about this and I know at this time nothing will really comfort. I do have to say that God loves him and you. It is a blessing that he is not hurting anymore. He is at peace and his legacy of loved ones will live on everyday in his children and others whose lives he touched every day. God had a special plan for him. Just look at the people he touched, awesome! You and your family will continue in my prayers.

My heart goes out to you at this very emotional & trying time. You're in my thoughts & prayers. This poem says so much about times like this.... Miss Me ? But Let Me Go I have come to the end of the road The Lord has taken me You need not weep for me, Why cry for a soul set free? Miss me a little - but not too long, And not with your head hung low. Remember the joy of the love we shared Miss me ? but let me go. This is a journey we all must take and We all must go alone. This is part of the Master?s plan Now Heaven is my home. When you?re feeling lonely and sick at heart, Go to the friends & family we know and we?ll never part Miss me ? but let me go.

Dear Jessica, I am so sorry for your loss of Glenn. He was such a very special young man. I was one of the first customers every morning in the paint store. He was always so upbeat and happy, it gave me a lift every day. Knowing Glenn for a few short years has made me a better person. He touched so many peoples lives. The day I dropped him off at the hospital he said "thanks for the ride, who knows when I will see you again". We both laughed. The sad thing is that I never did see him again. I thought that there would be more time. I will regret that for a long time. God bless Glenn, you and your children.

Mr and Mrs Elrod, Robert, Amanda, Jessica and Mr and Mrs Martel, A few more thoughts as I returned to work today. I hope the presence of the coummuity and their expression of love for Glenn contributes to the healing of your broken hearts. It was encouraging to me to witness their testimony both by word and their number. In my own renmarks regarding the family Jesus ministred to in John Ch. 11 I thought maybe I glossed over the most encouraging part of the story. The part where Jesus delayed in responding to the sisters call for help (intentional). When Jesus did respond (you can always count on God to respond to your prayers) he fully understood the sorrow of the occasion. As the scripture tells us "He wept". If you visit the story you'll read that Jesus understood the event of Lazarus' death deeper than his sisters. Jesus had taught about eternal life through belief in Him and the sisters' expressed their belief in that teaching when Jesus asked them. Though the sisters had wraped their "minds" around His teaching He understood how challenging it is to wrap ones "heart" around this truth. Jesus knew that Lazarus would die again physical. He knew the sisters would need more to cling to ,when that occurred, than simply intellectual conviction. So he chose to delay thus Lazarus died and he was able to say to the sisters and all who struggle with concept of a "living God" I am going to raise your borther from the dead so that you will know the father has sent me and you can believe (in your heart) what I say about eternal life. (verses 40-42) . May the character of our Heavenly Father bind your hearts and sustain you in future ahead. Grace, Terry

Glenn was the first friend I made when I joined the Lodi City Swim Club back in 1983. If it wasn't for Glenn my first couple months of swimming would not have been as fun and I may not have stayed in the sport. In short, because of swimming I am who I am today and I can thank Glenn for that.
