Adrian was a wonderful person inside and out. Even though he is not here with us physically he is spirtually and he will be missed dearly. I just wanted to say that Adrian is going to be missed by so many people, i was really shocked when i heard the terrible news that Adrian out of all people had been shot, when people had told me what happened i didnt want to belive it, it seemed like it was a bad nightmare. he was a soldier he knew how to take pain as it came and he made it in to something less than it was. so when i heard about it that he had passed away, it was just so unbeilavible i thought to my self, "no, i know hes going to make it. he's a rider he's down to ride to the end and now is deffinantly not the end for lil goofy." i thoght he was going to be okay, that he was going to pull though with it. he always told us that he never wanted to die, its not cause he was scared its because he had dreams and goals in his life. he had told us one time that he wanted to be the first hispanic president and that was his high light in life was to graduate and succeed that way, and that if he were ever to die he knew for sure that he would be up there with topac and God! he always had his little way of making you laugh he never had a negitive side to him, and if he did he never let us see it, he always made people smile when they were sad or going threw rough times in life. he made up his lil songs and put happy meannings to them in his own little ways. he was a very unique person, one in a million even. NOBODY could ever compare to Adrian Miguel Cortez AKA Goofy.... Adrian you ARE one in a million and cant nobody be like you even if they tryed. its sad that you leave us at the time you did. you will be missed very much. you ask that if you ever died for nobody to cry for you for you wanted to rest in peace, and even though it is very hard not to you have to understand how important you were to many of us. and there for it is very hard not to cry for you leaving us. we do have to understand that the lord needed you more than we do but always remember your loved ones as for we will always remeber you.... I am so sorry for the loss of your son, brother, grandson and friend. I did not know Adrian but I have a son who I love dearly and empathize with you. I have worked for many years with young men at risk or in trouble. They had so much to give, had such promise and excelled in so many ways, as did your Adrian. His future could have been a bright light. Please accept my deepest sympathy.

Adrian, you were such a great person. I havent seen you or talked to you since back in middle school, but I will always remember you. All the way back from 6th grade when we were in the same group at Science Camp, you always made us all laugh and made all of us not so scared on night hikes because of all the funny things you would bring up. I'll always remember the night we were on a night hike and we were told to hold the shirt of the person in front of us and you grap my hair and started smelling it. You and your family are in my prayers. May god bless you and your family, you will be very well missed!!

Hey there Goofy! well I hope that your having a good time in heaven with God. We all miss you and we all loved you so much that you probably didn't notice. There will always be a part of you in heart because you were so special and you had your ways of making people smile. Adrian, I know at least one girl that loved you but since you passed away shes been sad....and its not Valerie ....She started to like you and she was also starting to love you....when she smiles she still seems kinda sad, you can tell. Adrian- Hey its me. I just wanted to say hi...and tell you how much i will miss you! You are one of the nicest guys i have ever met. Every time i saw you, you always had a smile on your face and you were always happy. I will miss saying hi and talking to you in the halls everyday at school. I kno that we didny know each other like extreemly well, but we knew each other enough to talk about stuff. I was known as being the dumb blonde cheerleader, but you saw past that. You gave me a chance and you talked to me and became one of my friends. I remember during summer school this summer, you would run the track with me every day and you would always make me laugh. You would always talk about football and how much you liked to hang out with your friends and go to parties. I never really got to thank you for sticking up for me when a couple of girls were giving me a hard time.......so thank you!!! I just want you to kno that you will always have a special place in my heart and i will never forget you...i will miss you...keep smiling in heaven!!! love ya!!!! ~lauryn
