Kenneth Owen Peckinpaugh was born February 13, 1931 in Sacramento, CA. He passed away October 19, 2004 in Sacramento of natural causes. Kenneth attended Grant High School in Sacramento, where he was named All City Third Baseman in 1948, He worked as a printer for the State of California for over 41 years, and enjoyed Carpentry and Woodworking, gardening, camping, and attending sports events, especially football games, and travel. He bred and raised thoroughbred horses, but his true joy was spending time with his family. He was a longtime member of St. Christopher Parrish Catholic Church in Galt and he was known as a friend who was always available to help other people out. He is survived by his wife of 53 years; Marion Peckinpaugh of Galt, Sons; David Peckingpaugh and his wife Nancy of Sutter Creek, CA, and Thomas Peckinpaugh of Sacramento, daughter: Joan Irwin and her husband Brandon of Herald, four grandchildren; Ezra, Caleb, Eva, and Luke Peckinpaugh of Sutter Creek, cousin; Donald K. Peckinpaugh and his wife Charmaine of Pasa Robles and many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, October 22, 2004, 11:00 a.m. at St. Christopher Parrish, 950 S. Lincoln Way, Galt. Followed by a Celebration of Life Reception. Inurnment at Galt District Cemetery will be private. In lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions may be made to the Mercy Hospital Foundation for Cardiovascular Research, 4001 J Street, Sacramento, CA. 95819 or to the charity of your choice
