Obituary of Willis Mayo

Willis Kyle Mayo of Lodi passed away in Lodi on October 28, 2004 at the age of 67. Mr. Mayo was born in Burlin, Newfoundland, Canada on June 18, 1937. He eventually moved to California in 1984. He worked at McClellan AFB in Sacramento, working as a civil servant in transportation for the Federal Government. He retired after 20 years of service. Mr. Mayo also served in the U.S. Air Force. He enjoyed automotive restoration, and he was a history buff. Willis was a very giving person who will be greatly missed. His is survived by his son, Jeff Mayo of Lodi; 2 brothers, Ralph and Frank Mayo of Canada. He was preceded in death by his sister, Marjorie Forden. A Memorial Service will be held at Lodi Funeral Home Chapel on Friday at 1:00 PM. There is no visitation, and committal is private.
